Tarapith was a small village in today’s Bibhum District of West Bengal, India which is very famous for Tara Mata’s Temple. Tarapith is ever considered as one of the most pious place for Tantric sadhana. In Tarapith Temple, goddess Kali is worshiped as Tara Maa which is another form of Maha Shakti Kali. This is also one of the 51 Shakti Pithas as per Hindu mythology. The Temple is situated on the bank of river Dwaraka which flows down the Birbhum district.
